For restaurants, bars, cafés and shops

Get paid before the food arrives.
Pay your suppliers from the same account.

Guests pay from their phones, in groups, with any card or bank app. The money lands in seconds. Then you pay your suppliers from that balance, with approvals, proof and files your accountant can trust.

Where your money is

A pilot: no real money moves yet. Software is free while we pilot.

One account for what comes in and what goes out

Get paid

Guests scan the table's QR code, split the bill on their phones and pay with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a bank app. Counter orders and orders ahead too. Your takings arrive in seconds, often before the food is served.

Pay suppliers

Enter a bill and attach the invoice. We warn you about duplicates. The right person approves it, and you pay now or on the due date, from the balance. Paying a supplier is free.

Stay in control

A proof for every payment, a monthly control report with who approved what, and files for Holded, Xero, QuickBooks or your accountant's spreadsheet. Each document carries a fingerprint, so changes can't go unnoticed.

Rules that run by themselves

Set aside a share of each day's takings for tax or payroll. Bills over a limit need a second owner. Only approved suppliers are paid, so a changed bank account can't slip through.

Your whole team, with the right access

Owners, managers and staff see and do what their role allows. Staff run the till. Managers handle bills. Owners control the rules. Your accountant gets read-only access. Moving money always asks for a passkey: Face ID or your device passcode.

Honest about your money

We say who holds it, what protects it and what we can and can't do with it, in plain language, on one page. Read it.

How a supplier bill gets paid

  1. 1

    Enter it

From the invoice you received, with the file attached. Duplicates are flagged.

  2. 2

    Approve it

A manager for small bills, a second owner above your limit.

  3. 3

    Pay or schedule

Face ID or passcode. Now, or on the due date.

  4. 4

    Keep the proof

A payment proof and the month's control report, with a fingerprint.

Questions

Do I have to change my till?

No. RailUp is one more way to be paid next to card and cash, and your till keeps issuing the invoice. Simple venues can use RailUp's own till.

Who holds my money?

A licensed payment partner holds the money in protected accounts; RailUp is the product on top. The partner is named on the trust page once the contract is signed.

Is it safe if RailUp fails?

Funds held as electronic money are safeguarded in separate accounts at the partner, not mixed with RailUp's own money. They are not covered by a bank deposit guarantee. The trust page explains the difference.

What about cash?

Cash never passes through RailUp. You enter the month's cash takings by hand, and they appear in the control report next to your card and app sales.

Can my accountant use it?

Yes: monthly statements, a fee invoice, supplier bills and daily takings as files, in layouts for Xero, QuickBooks and a generic one for Holded, Sage and spreadsheets. Check the account codes and taxes with your accountant before importing.

What if you freeze my account?

You always see it, with a reference number and the reason category, and a person reviews it within two working days. Freezes with no explanation are the biggest complaint about business accounts, so this is built in.

When is it live?

Today it is a pilot with sample data: you can explore every screen, but no real money moves. Real payments start once our payment partner is connected.
